Course Length: 1 Day
- Course Content
Civil 3D Pipe Network provides the tools necessary to draw 2D and 3D models of utilities, such as storm sewers and sanitary sewers. It allows users to create, edit and delete pipe networks in plan view with profile and section views dynamically updated. Part Builder allows users to build 2D models of pipe parts or 3D models of structure parts, generating 2D drawing views of those parts for use in design layouts. The resulting model is defined according to size, shape, and position of the part’s features. These are stored in a catalog for ease of management, allowing users to navigate and select parts and add them to the drawing.
The Civil 3D Pipe Network and Part Builder class will cover the following:
- Understanding Pipe Networks
- Creating and editing Part Lists
- Using Part Builder to create and modify structures
- Creating, editing and annotating Pipe Networks
Minimum 6 months Civil 3D experience or Civil 3D Fundamentals, as well as knowledge of basic civil engineering techniques and terminology.
