Civil 3D Hydrology & Hydraulics Class
Course Length: 1 Day
- Course Content
The ability to perform storm water hydrology and hydraulic (H&H) tasks is crucial to civil and environmental engineers, and the tools necessary to achieve this are available in Civil 3D. Users can save time and eliminate possible human errors by laying out the storm sewer in Civil 3D, exporting it to Hydraflow Storm Sewers or Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) for the analysis process, and then bringing it back into Civil 3D. In this process the pipes in the drawing will update with any system changes.
The Hydrology and Hydraulics in Civil 3D class will cover the following:
-Learn how to use the Hydrology and Hydraulic tools.
-Discover the process of exporting a storm sewer layout to the analysis program.
-See how to run the analysis and import the data back into Civil 3D.
-Learn how to use the calculators available to help design ponds, calculate pond volumes and capture rates of inlets.
Minimum 6 months Civil 3D experience or Civil 3D Fundamentals, as well as knowledge of basic civil engineering techniques and terminology.
